Christmas and gift-giving…the two have always been associated with each other for good reason. The wise men gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The shepherds gave Jesus the gift of time. Mary gave Jesus the gift of her womb. They all gave Jesus the gift of worship. Might we gift Him as well?

The wise men did more than give their gifts to Jesus. They “fell down before Him” in an act of worship. May our worship be just as demonstrative. May our body express what our heart is feeling. And may our hearts be awakened by our body.

Sometime after the birth of Jesus, wise men from the east came to honor Him. They came to worship Him, bow down before Him, and bring their gifts. We can learn a lot from their story and learn how to worship Jesus this Christmas and beyond.
