The first step to experiencing happy, happy love is to ensure we have our relationships in the right order. It can be easy to feel like our relationship with our spouse is the most important one in our lives, but God asks us to put our marriage second to our relationship with Him. There’s no easy fix but marriages can be revitalized when husbands and wives recommit themselves to the little things that make a relationship work – thoughtfulness, acts of kindness, genuine affection, honest sharing, and regular dates or opportunities to get away together. Re-introduce the little things to your relationship and the bigger issues being to fall in line.
Most of us are consciously or subconsciously on a mission to realize the American dream of success, fame, and wealth. Yet, the American dream has turned into a nightmare due to our relentless desire to pursue more than we have, gain more than we have, and to encounter success as measured by the stuff we have. It’s time to wake up from the nightmare.
From the CEO to the teacher to the stay-at-home mom, we spend a great deal of time working. God gives us our work for more than just a way to make a living but that we might make a difference. Today we consider the reason God calls us to work. Let’s consider why we are where we are and find purpose and significance in our work.
