“POP” VBS 2018 is in the books! What a groovy week. Balloons where everywhere. Bubbles where everywhere. Smiles were everywhere. Kids where everywhere. And volunteers where everywhere! From those who registered, to those who danced, served snacks, played games, hosted the hospitality room, worked with the kids, and did everything in between - THANK YOU!!! We couldn’t do it without you. You might think your role is small, but you made a huge difference!
Are you looking for some more ways to get more involved at Aldersgate? Here’s a list of some ordinary things you could do that would make a big difference.
- Help in the office during the week.
- Be a part of our social media team.
- Greet people at the front door.
- Work from home to prepare projects for children.
- Wear a security shirt and an ear piece and patrol the building for safety.
- Take pictures for special events.
- Pray for the church service during the church service.
- Help us keep track of data and spreadsheets.
- Rock babies during the worship service.
- Write stories and recaps of events and activities.
- Join the web team and help keep our website current.
- Go through tech training and be a part of our tech team.
- Help create audio and video content for the services and social media.
- Troubleshoot the computerized check-in system for kids on Sunday mornings.
- Review handouts, letters, and newsletters for typos.
- Wear a neon vest and help people find a parking spot.
- Keep our flower beds looking beautiful.
- Be a part of a small group that gives feedback for the worship planning team.
- Escort first time parents and kids to their event rooms.
- Hand out bulletins as people enter the worship center.
- Create announcement videos.
