This past Walk to the Manger Sunday, a little boy, early elementary age, brought a dollar to the manger. It was his dollar, one that he had earned, that he wanted to give so that presents could be bought for school kids who otherwise might not have anything under the Christmas tree. It was a small gift that certainly won’t purchase a complete present. But it was a huge heart that filled the room with God’s presence. And a few of those dollars put together will put a toy under the tree.

Small gifts add up and they are crucial to the ministry of Aldersgate Church.

$5 puts a Bible in the hands of someone who doesn’t have one
$25 fills a backpack with school supplies
$50 helps someone struggling to keep the heat turned on in their house
$100 helps send a kid to church camp

It’s not about the amount of the gift, it’s about the size of the heart. As we approach the end of this year, would you be willing to give from your heart?

Here is a list of these ministries and organizations locally, nationally, and globally that we partner with to bring about the gospel of Jesus Christ

Wesley Foundation at Texas Tech
The Wesley Foundation at Texas Tech is a United Methodist campus ministry dedicated to raising up generations of dynamic Christians who lead. The Wesley invites real people into real ministry in the real world.

Quest Restoration Ministries
Quest Restoration Ministries is dedicated to walking with people on journeys of restoration. This includes life coaching, inner healing, spiritual mapping, leadership training and support. The goal is to offer ministry without adding financial stress to the person or family in need.

Paul’s Project/Grace Campus
Paul’s Project exists to restore hope and a renewed sense of purpose in the lives of individuals by providing a positive environment that encourages authentic change. Paul’s project operates Grace Campus which is designed to move the homeless to self-sufficiency and Hope House which provides temporary housing to those who have been previously incarcerated.

Backyard Mission
Backyard Mission works in the Lubbock area to get people warm and dry by doing free home repairs, using volunteer labor and buying materials with donated money.

Love the Hub
Supporting families and individuals in the Hub City area who are experiencing a temporary crisis, through financial support and direct engagement.

Cortez Colorado (Skyler and Karli Schrage)
Skyler and Karli serve in Cortez, Colorado to reach the unreached. There is a Native American reservation on one side of the county and mountains on the other. The Schrage's are preaching the gospel through FCA, and the county jail.

Freedom in Jesus Ministries, Inc.
Freedom in Jesus Ministries “plants” prison ministry services in the TDCJ facilities across the state of Texas. Aldersgate’s funding allows Freedom in Jesus Ministries to host three-day weekend crusades/revivals in Texas prisons.

Ray and Lydia Zirkel
Ray and Lydia Zirkel are missionaries serving the Methodist Church in San Jose, Costa Rica. In addition to operating a children’s home in San Jose, Ray serves as a professor at the Evangelical Methodist Seminary and helps plant and develop local congregations.

Global Surge (Luke & Kelly Lyons)
Impacting Asia works through evangelistic camp ministries, small groups, and medical clinics to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Philippines.

New Life Children’s Home (Kendon & Wendy Wheeler)
Orphaned, abandoned and abused children have found a refuge and safe haven at New Life Children's Home in Guatemala. NLCH is truly a “home” for these needy children, where their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are addressed. Special attention is given to introducing them to Jesus Christ, nurturing and discipling them in a relationship with him, and providing each child with a sound academic Christian education.

YWAM – Spain (Joshua & Ellia McCauley)
Youth With a Mission (YWAM) currently operates in more than 1000 locations in over 180 countries with a staff of over 18,000. They focus in three central areas: evangelism, training, and mercy ministries. YWAM – Spain operates as a training and sending base.

Urban Rhythm
At Urban Rhythm we understand that the youth are the future of Botswana and cannot be overlooked. For the success of the nation, it is important for us to empower them mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially to become the best they can be. All of our programs are focused towards this end. We have been working diligently on youth and community development since 2012.

Ziyada
Ziyada (Zee-yah-duh) means more—more hope, more help, more happiness, more health—for you and for our world. Ziyada exists to provide meaningful employment in a safe environment for people caught in the devastating cycle of extreme poverty in North India, and in the process, to bring you more quality and beauty through each good we create.
